Terms of Service
The terms of using Dilly.
Last updated: May 8, 2026 · Effective: May 8, 2026
The plain-English version
These terms govern how you use Dilly (the iOS app, the websites under hellodilly.com, and any related services). The short version: be a real person, don't try to break things, your subscription is billed by Stripe (not Apple) and managed in Dilly under Settings, Plan, your data belongs to you, and we'll do our best to give you a real product. The formal terms are below in case there's ever a disagreement.
1. Who we are
Dilly is operated by Dilly AI LLC, a Florida limited liability company. Contact us at support@hellodilly.com. Investor and press inquiries: ceo@hellodilly.com.
2. The agreement you're entering
By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service. We may update these Terms; we'll surface material changes in-app and on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the change.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Dilly. The app is rated 16+ on the App Store.
- You're responsible for the email address tied to your account and for any activity under it.
- Sign-in is email-based with 6-digit verification codes. We don't store passwords.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or by request to support@hellodilly.com. See Section 9 for what deletion does.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscriptions are billed by Stripe, not through the Apple App Store. Plan changes, cancellations, restorations, and refund requests are handled by us directly.
- The website is for browsing. Payment is processed through Stripe (initiated from inside the Dilly app or our web checkout).
- The Starter plan is free. Paid plans (Dilly, Dilly Pro) auto-renew under standard Stripe subscription terms until you cancel. Cancel anytime in Dilly under Settings, Plan, Manage subscription, which opens your Stripe customer portal.
- Student pricing is applied automatically when an account email is recognized as a verified .edu address. We don't collect proof beyond the email domain.
- Refunds: we issue refunds directly through Stripe. Email support@hellodilly.com with your account email and we will process the refund. Apple is not involved in our subscription billing, so refunds do not go through reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. What you can and can't do
Don't:
- Use Dilly for anything illegal, including misrepresenting your identity to recruiters, generating fraudulent resumes, or applying to roles on behalf of someone else without their consent.
- Scrape, mirror, or republish Dilly's job feed, fit narratives, or any other AI output as a commercial product. Output is licensed for personal career use only.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, or authentication.
- Probe, attack, or reverse-engineer the service in ways that could harm other users or our infrastructure.
- Build a competing product by training a model on Dilly outputs.
6. Your content and your profile
You own your profile data. By using the service, you grant Dilly a limited license to process that data for the purpose of operating the product (generating fit narratives, tailoring resumes, surfacing relevant jobs, etc.). We don't sell your data to third parties; see the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
If you make your profile public via your web profile (hellodilly.com/u/<handle>), the content you've explicitly marked visible can be viewed by anyone. You control which fields are public on a per-section basis in Settings.
7. AI-generated content
Dilly uses third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic) to generate fit narratives, resume bullets, and conversational responses. AI output can be wrong. Dilly's Truth Ledger tries to ground every claim in a profile fact, but you are responsible for reviewing any output before sending it to a recruiter, employer, or anyone else. Hallucinations happen; treat AI output as a draft, not a final document.
8. Job listings
Dilly aggregates job listings from public sources (ATS providers, official career pages, niche field feeds). We don't represent that any listing is current, accurate, or that the role is still open. Verify before applying. We are not the employer and cannot make hiring decisions on a third party's behalf.
9. Termination and data deletion
You can stop using Dilly at any time. To delete your account and data:
- In-app: Settings → Account → Delete account
- By request: privacy.hellodilly.com/rights or email support
Within 30 days, your primary data is removed from production. Backups roll over on a fixed cadence after that. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that endangers other users or the platform.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that you'll get a callback, an interview, or a job. Career outcomes depend on many factors outside Dilly's control. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be free of mistakes.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dilly AI LLC's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) US$50. In no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost wages, lost opportunities, or lost data.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Dilly AI LLC and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida. You waive the right to participate in a class action.
14. Changes to the service
We're a small team shipping fast. We may add features, change features, or remove features. We'll communicate material removals through the in-app changelog and the site at hellodilly.com/changelog.
15. Contact
Questions, feedback, account issues: support@hellodilly.com. Anything legal or press: ceo@hellodilly.com.
